Gay marriage should be illegal in the United States.
According to Gay Marriage Research, 47 percent of people disagree with it, while 41 percent agree and 10 percent are undecided.
Yet the Bible says homosexuality is a sin. In eight places in the Old Testament, one example that stands out to me is Leviticus 20:13:
“If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They must be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads.”
Supporters of gay marriage believe everyone deserves to be happy. They believe the divorce rate will go down. However, the definition of happiness is not marriage. The definition of marriage is a formal union between a man and a woman, usually recognized by law, in which they become husband and wife.
“God ordained marriage to be between one man and one woman,” the Alliance Defense Fund says.
