Bravo has a sunny disposition. Coach Joel Wingard loves her. Teammates love her. She always makes time to dispense a few post-race quotes.

Bravo has a sunny disposition. Coach Joel Wingard loves her. Teammates love her. She always makes time to dispense a few post-race quotes.

On the cross-country course, though, Bravo is ruthlessly efficient at breaking her opponents.

Her results from the 2012 season back that up: First place in each of Peninsula’s league duals. Top-10 placings in four talent-laden invitationals. First at the SPSL/Seamount sub-district meet, third at the Westside Classic bi-district meet, and 11th at the 3A state meet.

Bravo is quietly competitive, and that showed in her remarks after state, when the Seahawks settled for third place in the team standings.

“I know we’re all going to be disappointed with ourselves for not getting first this year,” she said.
