D ec. 20 — A 9-1-1 dispatch from a private doctor who was concerned about one of his patients sent crews to the man’s residence to check on him. The elderly man had called to cancel his appointment with the doctor and said he couldn’t get up. Firefighters went to the address and found what appeared to be an abandoned home. Inside, they found the man very thin and dehydrated. They took him to a hospital for evaluation and care.
