D ec. 25 — Crews responded to help a 67-year-old woman who reported acute abdominal distress. Due to the home’s rural location and inadequate signage, response was delayed. Access also was challenging due to a seasonal stream that crossed the footpath to the residence. Once the woman was transferred from her home to the medic unit, she was treated and transported to St. Anthony Hospital in Gig Harbor for continued care and evaluation.
