The Gig Harbor High School Sports Boosters will offer a presentation to potential college athletes at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 8 at the high school's library.

The purpose of the presentation is to talk about the rules and procedures of the recruiting process, and to help student-athletes avoid confusion. The program will last about one hour, is free of charge, and will cover the basics of applying for scholarships, the various divisions of college athletics and a "how-to" on getting started.

Because the recruiting process often starts very early in some sports, both high-school and middle-school students and parents are encouraged to attend.
