Rescue crews narrowed the area they were searching in the rugged Cascade foothills for a missing skydiver, but hadn’t found the man as darkness fell.
Kurt Ruppert, 29, jumped out of a helicopter at 6,500 feet Thursday. King County sheriff’s Sgt. Cindi West said about 145 searchers were combing the Mount Si area, focusing on a quarter-mile square near the summit.
West said they narrowed the search based on the flight pattern of the helicopter he jumped from and his cellphone’s location just before the jump.
