They crush, they crash and often they careen. They burn high-octane alcohol fuel, and the kiss of their 1,500-horsepower engines makes noise enough to wake any Sleeping Beauty.
The Monster Trucks have landed again at the Tacoma Dome.
Danger floats like smoke as they nearly tip over backward or fall over sideways. They are as big as elephants. They fly across obstacles and sometimes into each other, and they land on shock absorbers filled with nitrogen.
The Monster Jam monster truck show has one final Tacoma performance on the current tour. The show starts at 1 p.m. today. Tickets, at various price ranges, are available at the box office.
Promoters said today’s show will likely feature such dirt-track dominators as Grave Digger, Mohawk Warrior, Monster Mutt Dalmatian, Captain America, Captain USA and Iron Outlaw.
Doors open at 11:30 a.m.
