The state Department of Corrections office in Puyallup was evacuated Monday after a woman called in a bomb threat, police said.
Officers responded about 10:50 a.m. to the building at 405 W. Stewart Ave. A bomb dog searched the building but there did not appear to be any explosives inside, Capt. Scott Engle said.
No one was immediately arrested and the woman who called in the threat sounded intoxicated, Engle said.
Employees were allowed back inside the building after police deemed it safe at 12:30 p.m., Deputy Chief Dave McDonald firstname.lastname@example.org
