The Town Council passed a resolution in 2011 stating the town’s intent to accept the donation of the property near the corner of Galloway and Lexington streets from the Harlock Place Park Stewardship Committee.

Two centuries ago, a small pink flower framed the hills and prairie around the main village of the Steilacoom Indian tribe in what is now west Pierce County.
Community Schools of Lakewood will host its annual Champions for Youth Breakfast and celebrate 20 years of the organization working with Clover Park Schools. The featured speaker will be David Pritchard, assistant football coach at Clover Park High School, author and national speaker for Young Life.

BENTON CITY -- Watch out for "Bear Attacks" in Benton City today.
Kiona-Benton City High School students and residents of Benton City will be celebrating the unity between the school district and the city. The free event begins at 1:30 p.m. in the city park, 806 Dale Ave.
Ki-Be High School senior Dakota Renz, the Associated Student Body president, helped organize the celebration to encourage more town spirit and school pride.
Marianne Williams Park officially opens Monday. Larry Williams donated 72 riverfront acres to the city for a park honoring his wife, Marianne.
