The Fox Island United Church of Christ will participate in A Winter Feast for the Soul, and the public is invited to join in.

For 40 days, the annual, worldwide event encourages 40 minutes of daily spiritual practice (or four minutes of stillness for children) to bring a period of peace into one’s life.

The FIUCC offers a variety of activities that are open to all and offered with the intent of inner reflection, stillness and peacefulness, including an opening ceremony at 10 a.m. Sunday as part of the regular service.

Other events include open meditation and prayer from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and a voluntary simplicity discussion course from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Sundays.

For more information, call 253-549-2420 or visit www.foxislanducc.org.

All events are free, but donations are accepted.
