Pierce County residents can weigh in on community health concerns, such as mental health, diabetes, health equity and health care reform at three workshops this month.

Workshop organizers, including the Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department, Franciscan Health System and MultiCare Health System, will incorporate input regarding health needs and priorities into a community health improvement plan.

Once complete, the plan will include specific action steps on behalf of organizations countywide to employ their resources, specific mission and particular focus to address the health needs of the county.

One workshop will be held Thursday from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the Gig Harbor/Peninsula branch of the Pierce County Library System, 4424 Point Fosdick Drive NW. Healthy snacks will be available to participants.

For more information, call Karen Meyer at 253-798-4581 or email kmeyer@tpchd.org.
