J an. 1 — A 55-year-old man was arrested after he reportedly pulled out from a business driveway in the 4800 block of Point Fosdick Drive without his headlights on at night. The man also didn’t have the required mud flaps on his truck. The police officer noted the smell of alcohol when they approached. The driver failed field sobriety tests and reportedly blew a 0.166 on the initial field Breathalyzer test, more than twice the legal limit of 0.08. The man was processed at the Gig Harbor Police Department and booked on DUI charges at the Pierce County Jail.
