Who says bipartisanship is dead?

Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal and Washington Gov. Christine Gregoire are putting aside party labels for a fun wager as the Seattle Seahawks visit the Georgia Dome for Sunday's playoff game against the Atlanta Falcons.

Deal, a Republican, has put a case of Georgia peaches on the line. Gregoire, a Democrat, countered with a case of Washington apples.

Both poked fun at the opposition. The Dome will give the NFC's top seed an advantage, Deal said, joking that the Seahawks are used to playing in the rain. Gregoire reminded Deal of the Falcons' past playoff struggles, a not-so-subtle dig at the team's 2010 loss at home to Green Bay Packers. Like this year, the Falcons finished 2010 with the NFC's best record before being eliminated.
