Economic espionage will be discussed Jan. 31 by a Department of Energy counterintelligence officer based in Richland.
Greg Curtis will speak at
7 p.m. at the Mid-Columbia Library, 1620 S. Union St., Kennewick.
Curtis will talk about the threat, the players and the dynamics of economic espionage and help those attending the lecture recognize attempts by hostile foreign interests to harm the U.S. economy.
He's assigned to the DOE Counterintelligence/Pacific Northwest Field Office at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory. The event is part of PNNL's Community Science and Technology Seminar Series and will be held in cooperation with the Mid-Columbia Libraries.
