The state Department of Natural Resources is inviting the public to ride newly completed off-road-vehicle trails at Reiter Foothills Forest near Gold Bar. Trail users will have an opportunity to complete a survey about the trails to provide feedback on future trail design in the area.

Test rides will be on single-track motorcycle trails and a 4x4 challenge course. Opportunities for ATV riders will be available later this year. Access to ORV trails could be impacted because of snow accumulation.

Riding will be open from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Jan. 20, Feb. 9 and 17, March 9 and 24.

Participants are warned that parking will be limited. Riders might be turned away until parking opens up. Go to washingtondnr.wordpress.com for updates on weather conditions and closures.
