Herald seeks Whatcom seniors living with extended family

Are you a senior citizen in Whatcom County who lives with your grown children or with other members of a younger generation?

The Bellingham Herald wants to interview such seniors for an upcoming issue of its Prime Time publication.

    2 p.m. Jan. 29.

    The apartment complex has 59 independent living units for low-income seniors.

  • Weinermobile set to visit Kennewick today

    The Oscar Mayer Weinermobile will be at the Kennewick Senior Center from noon to 1:30 p.m. today during the Senior Center's annual Valentine Bingo and Dessert Social.

    The 27-foot-long vehicle, used to promote the hot dog company, will be open to the public for tours and pictures. Free whistles will be given away.
