Donate food for Second Harvest, get free pizza

Papa John's Pizza is giving away free pizzas to benefit Second Harvest on Saturday to the first 500 people to donate a grocery bag of food.

The nonperishable food items can be dropped off between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. at 2617 W. Falls Ave., Kennewick.

Those who donate also will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win free pizza for a year.

  • U.S. Postal Service taking food on Saturday

    The U.S. Postal Service will be collecting food as a part of its annual Stamp Out Hunger food drive.

    On Saturday, community members can leave canned food donations in their mailboxes. The donations will be collected by letter carriers and donated to local food banks.

    Canned soup, meats, fish, vegetables, fruits and juices, boxed goods, pasta and rice are needed.
