Home-schooled high school students from three states will be competing in a Tri-Windy Qualifier speech and debate tournament this week.
The tournament is part of the National Christian Forensics and Communications Association debate series.
Students will participate in two types of debate and present speeches in a variety of categories.
The tournament continues from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday.
Five students will be chosen to continue to the regional competition in Bellingham in May.
