King County prosecutors have charged a man with third-degree assault for allegedly punching and head-butting a police detective who tried to stop him from intimidating a witness at the Kent courthouse.

Bail remained at $20,000 for Aydriana Holloway. His arraignment was set for Jan. 28.

Prosecutors said in court filings that Holloway is a flight risk. At the time of the courthouse brawl, he had a warrant for failing to appear on a theft charge, prosecutors said.

The incident happened Monday at the Regional Justice Center. Holloway, the detective and other witnesses were there to testify in a drive-by shooting trial.

The detective saw Holloway staring at the shooting victim and a witness, and warned him to stop. During a break, Holloway got into a fight with one of the witnesses and the detective intervened. That lead to the punching and head-butting before Holloway was arrested.
