On Thursday, McDonald's announced more than 800 players from 39 states and the District of Columbia in its annual list of high school seniors who have been nominated to play in the 2013 McDonald's All American Games to be held April 3 at the United Center in Chicago.
From the state of Washington, 28 boys basketball players were selected with Texas having the highest number of nominees (80), followed by Oklahoma (73), Iowa (60), California (59) and Virginia (44). No Washington state girls made the nominee list.
Players were nominated by high school coaches, athletic directors, principals and members of the McDonalds All American Games Selection Committee. The complete list of nominees is available at www.mcdaag.com.
The final roster of 24 boys and 24 girls will be announced Feb. 14, 2 p.m. (PT), during the McDonald's All American Games Selection Show televised on ESPNU. The boys game will tipoff April 3, 6:30 p.m. (PT) and will be televised on ESPN with the girls game April 3, 4 p.m. (PT) televised on ESPNU.
