District sets study session for Thursday evening

T he Bethel School District will hold a special study session to review a middle-school teaming model and expansion of district-funded all-day kindergarten for the school year 2013-14. It will be held from 6-9 p.m. Thursday at the Educational Service Center, 516 176th St. E. in Spanaway. The public is invited to attend.

    Eighth-graders and their parents in the Pasco School District are invited to an information session about Delta High School at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the district's administrative offices, 1215 W. Lewis St.

    Delta High is a science, technology, engineering and mathematics, or STEM, school jointly operated by the Pasco, Kennewick and Richland school districts. The school is in Richland.

    Students who will be freshmen next year and live in the district may apply. Applications will be available at the meeting and must be returned by Feb. 27. The district's share of students will be determined by random lottery.
