Minnesota Vikings tight end Kyle Rudolph has been selected to his first Pro Bowl, replacing the injured Tony Gonzalez of the Atlanta Falcons.

In his second year out of Notre Dame, Rudolph recorded a team-leading nine touchdown catches on 53 receptions, totaling 493 yards receiving. He started all 16 games in 2012 and becomes the first Vikings tight end since Byron Chamberlain in 2001 to make the Pro Bowl.

Rudolph will join teammates Jared Allen, Adrian Peterson, Jerome Felton, Chad Greenway and Blair Walsh on the NFC roster.
