Church to offer weekly debt recovery classes

West Highland United Methodist Church is offering a series of nine classes covering Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University. The classes will be held weekly at 1:30 p.m. Sundays beginning Feb. 10.

Ramsey's Financial Peace series aims to give participants strategies on eliminating debt and accumulating wealth. For more information or to register, call Ed Branham at 585-3562.

    Kennewick Community Education is offering a variety of language and computer classes.

    Classes will be offered at beginning, intermediate and advanced levels in Spanish, Japanese, Russian, Chinese and American Sign Language.

    RICHLAND -- The Arc of the Tri-Cities is offering a free class on the Affordable Care Act.

    The class will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Friday at The Arc's offices, 1455 Fowler St., Richland.

    Jill McCormick of the Family to Family Health Information Center will discuss the effects of the act on families with children with special needs.

  • AARP planning senior driver safety classes

    The schedule for upcoming AARP Driver Safety classes has been released.

    The first class will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Jan. 16-17 at the Richland Community Center, 500 Amon Park Drive. To enroll, call 942-7529.

    The second class will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Jan. 17-18 at the Kennewick Senior Center, 500 S. Auburn St. To enroll, call 585-4303.
