RSVP, a program of the Whatcom Volunteer Center, is recruiting volunteers 55 and older to help seniors, veterans, and adults with disabilities.
Volunteer opportunities include helping neighbors with chores, yardwork, and home repairs; delivering food to those in need; offering companionship to a lonely senior; driving veterans and seniors to medical appointments and essential errands; and educating the community about the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program.

Richland Senior Housing is celebrating the 10th anniversary for Tri-Cities Terrace 1 apartments at
2 p.m. Jan. 29.
The apartment complex has 59 independent living units for low-income seniors.
The Oscar Mayer Weinermobile will be at the Kennewick Senior Center from noon to 1:30 p.m. today during the Senior Center's annual Valentine Bingo and Dessert Social.
The 27-foot-long vehicle, used to promote the hot dog company, will be open to the public for tours and pictures. Free whistles will be given away.
