A ribbon cutting ceremony tomorrow will celebrate the grand opening of the Sumner location of The Cellular Connection, the largest Verizon Premium Wireless retailer in the U.S.

The new store is located at 15105 Main St. East, Ste. 108, across from Fred Meyer.

The grand opening will take place at noon. Local radio station KKWF-FM (100.7) will host.

The Cellular Connection will make a charitable donation to the Sumner Community Food Bank.

"We're excited to continue our growth in the Pacific Northwest and bring our wireless expertise to the residents of Sumner," said Scott Moorehead, president and chief executive office of TCC. "Our knowledgeable team is dedicated to providing top tier service to the local community."

Some 24,000 people, give or take, live in Sumner County, a farming county south of Wichita on the Oklahoma border. Voters here elect reliably anti-tax and anti-spending lawmakers to the Kansas Statehouse. Yet, as Vince Wetta suggests, Sumner County is a taker.
