Phil Kelley will mark the end of waterfowl hunting season with a guided walk at Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge on Saturday. With end of the hunting season, all the refuge trails are open again.
Kelley, who leads weekly walks at the refuge, will help point out birds including eagles, harriers, ducks, shorebirds, and native songbirds.
Participants should meet at the visitor center at 8 a.m., prepared for any kind of weather. Bring snacks and something to drink as this will be up to four miles of walking.
Admission to the refuge is $3, or via a federal lands pass or an annual refuge pass.
