J an. 21 — A woman reported an unruly customer who skipped out on his dinner bill at a restaurant. The man told staff members he had left his wallet at St. Anthony Hospital and would return later to pay. But before he left, the man removed a chair from inside the business, went outside and threw the chair at a window. No damage was reported. The man fled the scene on foot but was apprehended by a Pierce County Sheriff’s deputy. The deputy called for medical aid crews to transport the man for an unrelated medical issue. The man was cited for third-degree theft as he was being evaluated at St. Anthony.
