A 43-year-old Graham man pleaded not guilty Tuesday in Pierce County Superior Court to numerous child pornography charges.
Teryle Cameron Smith was charged with four counts each of dealing in depictions of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct and possessing depictions of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct. He was ordered jailed in lieu of $150,000 bail.
Prosecutors allege Smith uploaded images of children engaged in sex acts to his Facebook page between February and July 2012.
Washington State Police troopers acting on a tip received from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children served a search warrant at Smith’s house Monday. They found “many images and videos of female children” engaged in sex acts, court records show.
“The images depicted young girls ranging in age from 6 to 14 years old and were traded using email and social media accounts,” the State Patrol said.
State Patrol detectives would like to hear from anyone who believes his or her child might have been victimized by Smith. They can contact investigators at 360-704-2400.
