If you haven’t visited the Tacoma Envirohouse yet, you may not realize what a gem we have in it. A demonstration house at the Tacoma landfill, it models real-life examples of house and garden ideas that anyone can use to make their environmental footprint smaller and more sustainable. And it’s completely free.

But wait, there’s more. Every spring and fall the Envirohouse hosts free workshops targeting specific seasonally-appropriate areas of home and garden maintenance and sustainability. Learn about raising chickens, lighting your home naturally, pruning and landscape design and more. It’s good for your home, good for the planet and often good for your wallet, too.

All workshops are free to Tacoma and Pierce County residents, but seating is limited so be sure to register.
