Seattle Seahawks linebacker Leroy Hill was arrested on Tuesday on two counts of alleged domestic violence.
According to a release from the Issaquah (WA) Police Department on Wednesday morning, Hill was arrested on counts of third-degree assault and unlawful imprisonment.
On Tuesday, officers responded to a call to an area near Cougar Ridge Drive Northwest for a report of an assault that had been ongoing during the day.
A 26-year-old female resident of Issaquah, who identified Hill as her boyfriend, stated he assaulted her several times during the day, and that he prevented her from leaving his home.
She also stated that Hill blocked the doorway and took her cell phone. The woman was reportedly able to escape the residence when Hill used the bathroom.
The woman was transported to Swedish Hospital in Issaquah, where she was treated and released.
Hill was subsequently arrested and taken to the Issaquah City Jail. Hill will be booked into the King County Jail on Wednesday.
Hill signed a one-year contract with the Seahawks in 2012. He recorded 47 tackles and 1 1/2 sacks this past season.
