PROSSER -- Prosser is collecting non-perishable food items for those in need.
To donate, citizens can bring items to City Hall at 601 Seventh St., Prosser.
Needed items include canned foods, dried foods and bottled juices.
The donations will be delivered to Jubilee Ministry for distribution.
For the next two weeks, Tacoma library patrons can erase their overdue fines by donating food.
Seabury School participated in a Hunger Walk last fall in conjunction with Associated Ministries and St. Leo’s Food Connection.
Tapestry Singers, a community-based choir and a member of Valley Arts United, will host a Puyallup Valley Food Bank Benefit Show at 3 p.m. April 7 at the United Methodist Church, 1919 W. Pioneer.
STANFIELD -- Stanfield Public Library is sponsoring a citywide yard sale.
The sale will be from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday and Saturday in West Coe, Stanfield.
There will be a drawing, food and a variety of items for sale.
It’s time to show off some of the generosity of the students and their families in the Peninsula School District.
