Pasco parks department is offering an "Internet and Email" class.

Participants will learn how to send and receive e-mail, browse the web, use search engines, links and formatting, download and save and organize information.

The class will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at the Richland Community Center, 500 Amon Park Road, Richland.

Cost is $10.75 for Pasco residents and $16 for non-residents.

    Three-day CASA training classes are offered from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 8, 15 and 23. Attendance at all three classes is required. Deadline to register is Feb. 15.

  • First aid at sea classes offered at BoatShop

    Washington Sea Grant, the marine research and outreach organization based at the University of Washington has partnered with the Gig Harbor BoatShop to co-sponsor a U.S. Coast Guard-approved first aid at sea course on May 4. The class, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., will cover topics that include cardio-pulmonary resuscitation, hypothermia, cold-water near-drowning, first aid kits and more.
