Jio Fontan and Aaron Fuller scored 15 points each, and USC defeated UCLA, 75-71, in overtime on Wednesday night, ending a four-game skid against the Trojans’ cross-town rival.
Eric Wise added 12 points and 11 rebounds, and J.T. Terrell and Byron Wesley each had 10 points for the USC (9-13 overall, 4-5 Pacific-12 Conference), which held the Bruins to 38 percent shooting.
Shabazz Muhammad led UCLA with 22 points but missed two 3-pointers in the final 1:14 for the Bruins, who were held to 2-of-19 shooting from 3-point range.
Travis Wear added 16 points for the Bruins (16-6, 6-3), who have lost three of their last four and are in danger of slipping out of second place in the Pac-12.
UCLA trailed by 15 points early in the second half and played from behind for most of the way until Adams hit a jumper with 30 seconds remaining in regulation to tie the game at 65 and force overtime.
UCLA retired Reggie Miller’s No. 31 jersey at halftime.
At Stanford 76, No. 10 Oregon 52: Chasson Randle led four Cardinal starters in double figures with 17 points, Josh Huestis had 14 points and 13 rebounds, and Dwight Powell added 12 points had 13 rebounds as Stanford (13-8, 4-4) ended a nine-game winning streak by the Ducks (18-3, 7-1).
