Boys Basketball
Jordan Powers led all scorers with 16 points and teammate Eric Anderson added 11 points to help lead Stadium to a 47-44 victory over Olympia in a 4A Narrows League game. Michael Naipo scored 14 points to lead the Bears.
Wilson had four players score in double figures, led by freshman Montre Brown’s 14 points, to help the Tacoma team take 62-43 victory over visiting 3A Narrows foe North Thurston.
Girls Basketball
On senior night, Anushka Maldonado (14 points, seven rebounds) and McKenzie DeVore (12 points, five rebounds) help lift Yelm to a 48-39 non-league victory over Mount Tahoma. Leah Brooks scored 12 points to lead the Thunderbirds.
South Kitsap junior Hayley O’Dell came off the bench to score 12 points, grab nine rebounds, hand out four assists and block three shots in the Wolves’ 47-32 victory over Gig Harbor in 4A Narrows play. Taylor Talen scored 10 points to lead the Tides.
