“It’s still a possibility, but I don’t want to say it’s a strong possibility,” said City Attorney Steve Victor, whose been involved in negotiations to land tenants at the mixed-use development on Bridgeport Way.

With last week’s closure of the Galaxy Narrows Theater, could a new theater open at University Place’s nearby Town Center?
It’s curtains for another Tacoma-area movie theater. The Galaxy Narrows Theater will play its last film Thursday night. Theater personnel confirmed Monday the multiplex, eight-screen theater at 2208 Mildred St. W. in University Place will join a handful of chain theaters that have closed their doors in the Tacoma area in the last decade.
Our local movie theater has been remodeled. The old iconic upright seats have been replaced with overstuffed reclining chairs which you can enjoy adjusting up and down when the movie gets dull. This can be very challenging to the technically inept – that would be me. If you wear slippery clothes and press the wrong button, there’s a good chance you’ll slide right off onto the floor.
SEATTLE (AP) - Winners of the 2012 Society of Professional Journalists Northwest Excellence in Journalism contest were announced Saturday night. The annual contest is held by Region 10 of SPJ to honor journalism in Alaska, Oregon, Washington, Idaho and Montana.
