At Wisconsin 63, No. 7 Penn State 61: Morgan Paige scored a career-high 33 points, and Tiera Stephens scored the winning basket on a put-back with 5 seconds left as the Badgers (10-11, 2-6 Big Ten) end an 11-game winning streak by the Nittany Lions (17-3, 7-1).
At No. 11 North Carolina 72, No. 20 Florida State 62: Xylina McDaniel scored 19 points, and Waltiea Rolle added 18 and 10 rebounds to help the Tar Heels (20-2, 8-1 ACC) hold off the Seminoles (17-4, 7-3) and give coach Sylvia Hatchell her 899th win. North Carolina reached 20 wins before the end of January for the first time since the 2006-07 season.
At Illinois 74, No. 24 Iowa 62: Karisma Penn scored 18 points, Adrienne GodBold and Amber Moore added 17 apiece, and the Illini (12-8, 5-3 Big Ten) closed with a 14-2 run over the final 5:11 to knock off the Hawkeyes (16-6, 5-3) in Champaign, Ill., for the first time in 10 years.
