A Tacoma woman who was stabbed Friday night in the 5000 block of South 58th Street claimed to police that she had been attacked by a group of four women, one of whom stabbed her and fled on foot.

But after a canine search and on-scene interviews, officers determined that a more likely suspect was the woman’s female roommate, who had not fled but was still on the scene.

The suspect was booked into jail for domestic violence and aggravated assault.

The wounded woman was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. She remained uncooperative throughout the investigation, officers said.
