Puyallup School District wants nominations for year’s top volunteer

The Puyallup School District is accepting nominations for the annual Volunteer of the Year award program.

The Puyallup School District is accepting nominations for the annual Volunteer of the Year award program.

Parents, students, residents and district staff members can complete a nomination form. The form is available at puyallup.k12.wa.us.

Forms should be sent to Nancy French, administrative assistant to Brian Fox, executive director of communications, information, and arts education, at the Education Service Center, 302 Second St. SE, Puyallup, WA 98372. Forms must be received by 4 p.m. Feb. 11.

    The speaker for the Tri-Citian of the Year celebration has been announced. Allyn Griffin, director of development at Jubilee Leadership Academy near Prescott, will speak at the May 11 event.

    Allyn is responsible for raising money for the nonprofit residential boarding school for struggling teenage boys on Broetje Orchards near Prescott.

    Nominations for Tri-Citian of the Year are still open. Tickets are $60 per person for the gala at the Three Rivers Convention Center in Kennewick. Tickets and nomination forms available at tricitianoftheyear.com.
