League of Women Voters celebrates 93rd birthday

The League of Women Voters of Benton and Franklin Counties will celebrate the group's 93rd birthday with a dinner Thursday in Kennewick.

The event will include speaker Bob Vance of URS Corp. talking about "Coal trains: the good, the bad and the truth." Vance is an engineer who has worked in design and construction of mines as well as being a train aficionado.

The dinner is at 5:30 p.m. at Tony Roma's, 8551 W. Gage Blvd. RSVP to lwv.of.bf@gmail.com. The event is free but attendees must pay for dinner.
