A road-rage incident led to a car chase and gunfire Monday morning in Kennewick. No one was hurt, but a parked car was hit with a bullet, Kennewick police said in a news release.
Here's how police described the incident:
A 22-year-old man was driving a blue Ford Escort south over the cable bridge into Kennewick about 9:30 a.m. He tried to change lanes as he neared the intersection of Highway 397 and East Bruneau Avenue and inadvertently cut off another car, described as a dark green '90s four-door Ford Contour. Two men were inside.
A "road rage chase ensued" and at least three shots were fired by a handgun from the Contour toward the Escort, police said. An unoccupied car parked near East Sixth Avenue and South Ivy Street was hit with a bullet.
Police said the incident doesn't appear to be gang related, and "at this time we have no reason to believe that suspects or the victim knew each other."
Police did not release the victim's name.

Police ID suspect in shooting that hurt 2 Kennewick men
Kennewick police have identified a person of interest in the shooting early Saturday that wounded two men.
Antonio J. Magana, 24, has a Department of Corrections warrant and Kennewick police want to talk with him in connection with the shooting, police said.
He's described as 5-foot-6 and 165 pounds.
The two victims, ages 22 and 23, were hurt when their car with hit was multiple gunshots near West 10th Avenue and South Washington Street about 1:45 a.m., said police. Sgt. Ken Lattin declined to release their names but said they're expected to recover.
He said investigators are speculating the incident may have been gang-related.

Woman hurt in crash north of Benton City
A Kennewick woman was hurt in a rollover crash on Highway 225 11 miles north of Benton City on Monday morning, the Washington State Patrol said.
Kelsey Joann Casey, 38, was driving south on the highway at 7:19 a.m. when she reportedly overcorrected while trying to pass another driver. Her 1992 Ford Ranger pickup rolled after driving off the highway and was totaled, troopers said.
Casey was treated at Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland.
Troopers listed the cause of the accident as driving with wheels off the roadway.
Wrong-way driver causes crash on I-84
UMATILLA -- An 88-year-old woman driving the wrong way on Interstate 84 on Monday hit a car driven by a Umatilla woman almost head-on, according to the Oregon State Patrol.
Jocelyn Gay of The Dalles, entered the interstate in a Toyota Prius going east at The Dalles but missed her exit two miles later. Apparently thinking she was on a two-lane highway, Gay made a U-turn about 10 miles later near the Celilo interchange, according to police reports.
She collided with a Dodge Caravan driven by Rebekah Darden, 65, of Umatilla, about 8:20 a.m., according to police reports. Both cars were traveling about 65 mph and both struck the center median. Darden's car then veered to the right and sideswiped a semi-trailer.
Both drivers were taken to a hospital in The Dalles with minor injures.
Truck driver robbed at rest stop on I-84
STANFIELD -- Oregon State Police are investigating a reported armed robbery of a truck driver Saturday morning at the Interstate 84 rest area near Stanfield.
A 55-year old commercial truck driver from Alabama returned to his truck after taking items to a trash can about 7 a.m. and was confronted by a man with a handgun, according to police reports. The suspect ordered the driver back into his truck and took his money, according to police reports.
The suspect is in his 30s, has an average build and sandy blond hair to the top of his ears. He was wearing a black long-sleeve thermal shirt and grayish-brown pants and was using a mobile phone device in the left ear. It's unknown what vehicle he left in.

Police seek suspect for forging prescription
Kennewick police and Tri-Cities Crime Stoppers are asking the public to help identify a woman suspected of trying to pass a forged prescription at a Kennewick pharmacy.
The alleged incident happened Jan. 19.
More details about the pharmacy or the suspect were not released.
Tri-Cities Crime Stoppers pays a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information that results in a felony arrest.
