An alleged child abduction Monday in Kent appears to be a dispute between the boy’s two baby sitters, police said.
Officers were notified about 10:30 a.m. that a woman had taken the boy at gunpoint from the baby sitter, assistant police chief Pat Lowery said.
Turns out, the child’s mother knew he was with the woman. The investigation then focused on the woman who reported the alleged kidnapping.
“We presently have detectives interviewing the reporting party in an effort to determine what the scope of their confrontation was and whether there was actually a weapon involved,” Lowery said.
The boy was not hurt.
