Open Studio Tour to hold screening for new members

The Gig Harbor Open Studio Tour will hold a screening Feb. 16 for those who wish to become members in 2013. The event will be held at Merrill Gardens Retirement Home, 3213 4th St. Court NW in Gig Harbor.

The Gig Harbor Open Studio Tour will hold a screening Feb. 16 for those who wish to become members in 2013. The event will be held at Merrill Gardens Retirement Home, 3213 4th St. Court NW in Gig Harbor.

Eligible artists must have a working studio west of the Narrows, north of Home and south of Mullenix Road in Olalla. Prospective members must drop off three pieces of gallery-ready artwork at the screening between 9:45 a.m. and 10:15 a.m., and pick up art between 11:45 a.m. and noon.

A photo of the studio, artist statement and completed application form, which can be found at www.gigharboropenstudiotour.org, also are required.

Notifications of jury results will be mailed to all applicants on Feb. 18.
