J an. 24 — The parents of a 2-year-old Lakebay girl called 9-1-1 after she experienced a seizure. The parents wanted an assessment but not wish the child to be transported to a hospital. The paramedic consulted with a physician and received permission to leave the child at home in care of the parents.

The Arc of the Tri-Cities is offering "Parent to Parent" training.
The training is for helping parents interested in talking to other parents with disabled family members.
The training is from 6 to 7:30 p.m. March 7 at 1455 Fowler St., Richland.
The Arc of Tri-Cities is sponsoring a "Helping Parents" training.
In this program, parents with disabled children help other parents whose children have similar disabilities.
"Helping Parents" participants listen to concerns and give guidance and assistance to other parents.
The annual Parenting in a Digital World workshop will be held from 6-7:30 p.m. tonight in the middle school library at Charles Wright Academy, 7723 Chambers Creek Road W.
Discovery Village is a pre-school, play center, and a great way for parents to play with their children while they learn, but offers parents a chance to take a small breather from their hectic days. Offering a full espresso bar and treats for both the parents and kids, the over 2-year-old business located in the Gig Harbor North area of the city has a large clientèle base.
