Former Stadium High School security officer Donte D. Lipscomb pleaded guilty Wednesday to three counts of first-degree sexual misconduct with a minor, officials said.
Lipscomb, 32, was taken into custody and is scheduled for sentencing March 15, said Thomas Howe, Pierce County deputy prosecuting attorney.
Howe said the standard sentencing range for the crimes is between 41 and 54 months in prison.
Lipscomb was accused of engaging in sexual relationships with Stadium students.
The first victim to come forward in January 2012 said she and Lipscomb began a sexual relationship in 2010, when she was 16 years old. The girl said that he sometimes called her out of class so that they could have sex on campus, according to court documents.
Later, two other victims were identified.
It is illegal in Washington for school employees to have sex with students, even if the sex is consensual and the student is legally of age.
The Tacoma School District fired Lipscomb last year. He had been employed with the district as a security officer since 2006, including time at Stadium and Oakland Alternative School. He also worked as coach of Stadium’s “C” basketball team.
