DAR rummage sale set Saturday in Kennewick

The Kennewick chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution is having an "everything must go" rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

The sale includes chairs, tables, desks, curtains and household items, as the chapter house is closing. Proceeds will go to the chapter and its veterans' projects.

The sale is at 3013 Kennewick Ave., next to HairMasters.

Daughters of the American Revolution is a nonprofit, nonpolitical volunteer women's service organization dedicated to promoting patriotism, preserving American history and securing better education for children.

    The Finley FFA chapter at River View High School is holding a plant sale.

    The sale will include bedding plants, vegetables, hanging baskets, color bowls, annuals, perennials and more.

    The event will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday in the high school's greenhouse, 36509 S. Lemon Drive, Finley.

  • Mammoth impacts of Ice Age floods topic of talk

    The Lake Lewis Chapter of the Ice Age Floods Institute will hold its monthly presentation, Mammoth Impacts of the Ice Age Floods, starting at 7 p.m. Jan. 8 in the auditorium at the Benton County PUD building, on 10th Avenue and Highway 395 in Kennewick. Admission is free.
