The New York Giants re-signed defensive tackle Shaun Rogers on Thursday.
The move comes after the team released linebacker Michael Boley, running back Ahmad Bradshaw and defensive tackle Chris Canty earlier this week.
Rogers joined the Giants on April 26, 2012, but sat out the 2012 season after being diagnosed with a blood clot in his leg.
The 6-foot-4, 350-pounder has played in 156 career games (128 starts) with Detroit, Cleveland and New Orleans, recording 504 tackles, 37 1/2 sacks and one interception.
A three-time Pro Bowl selection, Rogers was originally drafted by the Lions in the second round of the 2001 NFL Draft.
