The Finley School Board plans to meet for a board workshop Saturday morning.
The board will discuss its annual agenda as well as the contract renewal for Superintendent Lance Hahn.
The public meeting is 8 a.m. to noon at the district office, 224606 E. Game Farm Road.
The Bethel School Board has chosen Warren Smith to fill one of its vacant positions.
The Walla Walla School Board will be asked to accept the resignation of a fellow board member during its regular meeting Tuesday.
The board meets at 6:30 p.m. in the district’s board room, 364 S. Park St. Meetings are open to the public.
District communications director Mark Higgins said the district is treating the resignation as a personnel matter, and the name of the board member seeking to resign from the board would not be released until during the meeting.
Applications for Pasco School Board Position No. 5 are due in the superintendent's office by 5 p.m. today.
The office is in the C.L. Booth Building at 1215 W. Lewis St. in Pasco. Board position No. 5 became vacant with the resignation of board member Jeff Dong in February.
Current board members will review applications and nominate finalists for interviews during a special board meeting in public session on March 19. Board members will go into a closed-door session after the interviews to discuss the candidates, and then reconvene in public session to vote in a new member.

WALLA WALLA -- Walla Walla Public Schools Board of Directors approved the recent resignation of board member Max Carrera.
His resignation will be effective Aug. 1.
In the fall, Carrera will be chairing the Lincoln High School location and facility committee and wanted to conclude his service on the board before the committee begins to meet.
