King County sheriff’s detectives on Thursday were investigating a stabbing at a park near Federal Way.

A 22-year-old man called 911 about 11:35 a.m. and told dispatchers he had been stabbed while at Camelot Park, 29400 45th Place S. He said the attacker ran into a wooded area of the park.

As a precaution, Thomas Jefferson High and Camelot Elementary schools were locked down while detectives searched the area. A helicopter helped in the search.

The victim was uncooperative and refused to name his attacker, sheriff’s deputy Charlie Akers said. The man then allegedly changed his story and said he’d fallen on his own knife.
