Two men were arrested Wednesday night after stealing nearly $100,000 worth of metal from a rail yard in Tacoma, police said Thursday.
A passerby noticed two suspicious men in vests and hard hats standing near a construction truck at North 31st and Carr streets and called police. Officers found the men had loaded the truck and an attached trailer with metal from the rail yard.
The metal was valued at $75,000 to $100,000.
Both men were booked into the Pierce County Jail.
