Tacoma, get ready to speak your mind on marijuana.

The state Liquor Control Board has altered its schedule of public forums, adding Tacoma to the list.

The board has canceled a second forum in Olympia and will meet in Tacoma instead – from 6-10 p.m. Feb. 21 at the Greater Tacoma Convention & Trade Center, 1500 Broadway, Room 315. Admission is free.

The latest schedule of public meetings has the board meeting Feb. 12 in Spokane; Feb. 19 in Mount Vernon; Feb. 21 in Tacoma; Feb. 28 in Yakima; and March 7 in Bremerton.

The agenda will be the same for each gathering:

  • An open house with the board and staff members, beginning at 6 p.m.
  • Welcoming remarks at 7 p.m.
  • An overview of the board’s role in implementation of the marijuana initiative and an explanation of the timeline at 7:05 p.m.
  • Public comment from 7:15 until 10 p.m.

Some venues have been changed given a large response from the public.
